What is Copyright?

We've all heard the warnings about copying English teachers and 'plagiarism', or the lack of mention the work we use that is not ours. Copyright (in English, copyright) is a form of protection provided by existing laws in most countries for authors of original works including literary, dramatic, musical, artistic and intellectual.

Why have the laws of copyright, since they apply?

Copyright laws protect, literature, music, architecture, sculptures and other "intellectual works". These laws were designed to ensure that they recognize and reward the artist for his work.
